Catlins Tour Highlights
The Catlins region is a destination that has to be seen to be understood. Many people choose to leave this wild coastal spot off their to do list, but we're here to show you why it should be on your bucket list.
Your dedicated guide is a 5th generation Southlander, whose ancestors trace back to the first documented tour guide in the region (included in the story behind the naming of the Cathedral Caves).
Exceeding expectations is our specialty.
Scenic highlights of the day are subject to change due to the nature of the region (weather, usually). We also ask for your personal input as to whether there are specific spots you've dreamed of visiting.
Our guided tour stops include Waipapa Point Lighthouse, Curio Bay Viewpoint, Petrified Forest Walk, McLean Fall, Matai Falls and Purakaunui Falls, and Lake Wilkie.
The Catlins is also home to an array of wildlife that we will look out for throughout the tour. This includes, but does not promise, various Little Blue Penguin, Yellow-Eyed Penguin, New Zealand Sea Lions, Hector's Dolphins and on occasion you might spot Fur Seals, Whales, Albatross and more. We care deeply about the region and it's inhabitants (human or other), and adhere to strict guidelines about sharing the area with such precious animals.
